Purpose

  • To meet the needs of individuals who are interested to gain some lay counseling skills and biblical knowledge to assist themselves in being better people-helpers in their churches and among their own circle of influence.

  • Help students to grow in a greater awareness of God, of self and of others so that, as a result, the Church will be built up as Christians grow spiritually and holistically for ministries.

Those seeking comprehensive training in the practice of counseling from a Christian perspective



online Course Format

Each course is one credit consisting of 8 lecture hours taught online on two Saturdays.  Nine courses will be offered each year.  The Diploma program could be completed within three to five years or longer if you miss any of the core courses when they are offered.  The course instruction will consist of lectures, readings, interactive group discussions and written assignments. 

Diploma in Christian Counseling 24 credits total
Skill Courses 7 credits
Electives 15 credits
Guided Experience 2 credits

Entrance Requirements

  • Possess Sijil Pendidikan Malaysia (GCE “O” level) or its equivalent.

  • Active Christian in a local church.


Graduation Requirements

  • Complete 24 credits.

  • Obtain a minimum Cumulative GPA of 2.3.
